Tribalism and the people of Nigeria
Tribalism and the people of Nigeria is intended to be recognized as a valid academic discipline by Nigerian educational institutions.
Even better, the topic should be taught to students in secondary schools as well, giving those who did not have the opportunity to attend schools with higher levels of education the opportunity to acquire a fundamental understanding of tribalism in Nigeria.
When I saw a post written by a Yoruba man appealing with his people not to assist the Igbo people and their propaganda to bring down Naira Marley as a result of the death of MOHBAD, I had such a sense of despondency that it made me feel like crying. He went on to claim that the Igbo people are intending to utilize the dth of MOHBAD to provoke another demonstration in order to destabilize Yoruba states, and this is in response to the fact that they were successful in wreaking havoc on Yoruba territory during the ENDSARS protest.
I have no idea if a lunatic or someone with their faculties intact was the one who posted that post. However, after reading that post, I no longer like being a black man. My investigation into MOHBAD's passing has led to many Igbo individuals sending me insulting messages through their inboxes. Because I opted to join millions of Igbo people and other Nigerians with human conscience in demanding justice for Mohbad, they have called me every term in the book. They are concerned that members of the Yoruba culture may misunderstand our cries for Mohbad to be granted justice.
What exactly does this mean in terms of a strategy to make Yoruba land unstable? Even I have penned an article in support of Naira Marley, which I did when I posted about the importance of exercising extreme caution whenever one THREATENS OTHERS. The fact that I wasn't actually defending Naira Marley in that post led to a lot of people mistakingnly believing that I was defending her.
Who exactly were the people who demonstrated in Abeokuta, Ondo, and Ekiti yesterday? Are they of Igbo origin? Whoever posted that rude post is an extremely dimwitted individual! Is it because OGB Recent, formerly known as OGB The Cultist, is an Igbo man and has millions of young fans like Naira Marley, and because of this, he has been extremely vocal against the treatment that Marlian Music has given to Mohbad? An Igbo guy lamenting the treatment of a Yoruba man by his own people after the Yoruba man was treated unfairly. At MOHBAD'S burial, he was present alongside the other Skit Makers that were there. In point of fact, he was surrounded by a crowd at the location of the burial. Is anyone frightened on account of the fact that his followers are just as dangerous as Marlians and have the potential to wreak significant damage? His supporters bridged across racial and ethnic barriers in the same manner as Naira Marley's disciples did.
Nigerian youngsters, particularly Yoruba and Igbo youths, should be allowed to live their lives without interference from tribal jingoists. Give them permission to fight their batteles. Put an end to separating them. How can you possibly anticipate that no one from the Igbo people will be distressed by MOHBAD's passing? The Gunmen are wreaking devastation in the Southeast, but tribalism has caused some young people from the North and Southwest to even delight whenever they received the news of how our people are being klléd. Absolutely none!
Each and every one of us, including myself, carries a certain amount of pride in our ancestral heritage. I do give a shout out to my people anytime one of us accomplishes something remarkable. You cannot expect me to turn a blind eye to the suffering of another person simply because they are Yoruba. This is completely inhumane!
In regard to the tribal bigots, I do not hold it against you guys. During the protest against ENDSARS, you capitalized on people's tribal feelings, and it was successful. In addition, you play tribal cards during the election, and both times it goes brilliantly for you. You are now appealing to tribal feelings in relation to MOHBAD's passing, and given the current circumstances, this strategy may be successful for you. I hope that you find success. This will be the final post I make regarding MOHBAD's passing. However, I do pray in private that he will eventually be vindicated. We pray that his soul will not find peace until he has made peace with his killers, if there are any.
