NBTE Launches Online Programs for Conversion of HND Certificate to BSC Certificate
A new online top-up program has been introduced by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) that will allow those who hold a Higher National Diploma to convert their certification into a Bachelor's Degree by participating in online top-up for a period of one year with internationally authorized universities.
This information was provided by the board in a statement that was sent to press outlets in Abuja on Monday by Mrs. Fatima Abubakar, who is the Head of Media Unit for the board.
According to Abubakar, this is also to make it easier for people who already hold an HND to advance to higher degrees.
How to Upgrade Your High School Diploma to a Bachelor of Science Degree
1. You are need to hold a Higher National Diploma (HND) from one of the recognized and accredited monotechnics or polytechnics.
2. If you have previously registered for an account, go to the admissions portal at https://admission.topup.nbte.gov.ng and log in with that information.
3. Please provide all of the relevant information regarding your HND, which you already possess.
4. After you have created an account, you will be able to proceed to the next step, which is the new application submission.
5. The programs that are offered at the university should correspond to the technical and vocational domains that are covered by NBTE.
6. Once you have decided which course you want to take, you will then be given the opportunity to select which educational institution you want to attend. On this page, you will be able to check the educational institution's program fees, and there will also be a button that allows you to view information about the educational institution on their institutional profile page.
7. Once you have submitted the form, you will be able to check the application progress by clicking on the'my applications' link, and then you will be able to proceed with the payment of the form costs (which are $100 USD) to enable the institution to begin the admissions process for you.
8. After going to the payments tab, you will be able to download a receipt for the application form fee payment.
9. Once the college has given its approval for your admission, you will be able to access your application on my website and get your acceptance letter.
