EndSARS - An End to this Fog

#EndSARS - An End to this Fog

This treatise is due to high demand from my friends and associates on my take on the matters of the moment in the country.

Herein is my penny thought on the cruel and ugly events of the past weeks in our dear country.

The greatest on doing of our generation as regards to the events of twenty first century is the advanced technology that brings out complicated and not always reliable information and place to the fore conspiracies both real and imaginary. This makes our world seem tough to understand and even more confusing.

Thank goodness that the government of all tiers has accepted the the #EndSARS was not only legitimate but a peacefully protest, until it was hijacked by their so called hoodlums without any recourse to the actions and inactions of government. Can any body tell that after the mayhem;massacre of our youths in lekki tollgate is not the petroleum that ignited and escalate the already perilous situation. What can be more precious that human life ? Especially that of  our future.

Do we even consider the twaddle purported to be from our dear president, that instead of ameliorating the situation rather aggregated it.

From my understanding of the issues at stake, the government decided to choose the literary aspect on placard than looking at the issues holistically.

The #EndSARS to my understanding and turn of event is the subtle way of demanding for a drastic change, restructure and possible reinvent the county of our dreams that is twenty first century compliance.

Nigerians having spoke at different fora but their voices were jettisoned by the mighty cabal that has been navigating the ship of this nation.

Is it the Jonathan’s national conference  or different summit from different ethnic nationalities to no avail.

This time speaking through the”lazy” youth did speak and I believe that their voices were loud enough for those holding our country,to hear and do the needful.

#EndSARS campaign, no matter how twisted including government sponsored handful agitation in Northern Nigeria and those misguided few that protested in Uk that NTA gave consistent and persistent coverage since Friday lending credence to its source and intent. The time to end the fog is now for all and sundry.

To my greatest chagrin, the sudden denial of massacre in lekki by the government forces and main stream media amounts to the highest level of deceit and taking Nigerians for granted as usual, and continue with the impunity that has become traditional way of life in this country.

Suddenly all the airwaves are now rented for the Bishops, the political leaders and even the traditional leaders who has been recruited to appeal to the deprived, hungry and branded youths to calm down without looking at the issues in contention. It was Peter Tosh in one of his uprising song that said” everyone one is talking about peace, peace: but none is crying out for justice; every one is talking about crime, crime but tell who are the criminals; and he said that he really don’t know.” God have mercy for this country.

To end this fog, #EndSARS for me is an acronym for restructuring and change of the military constitution of1999.

Create state police according to the security

demands of states and her people.

Federalism and not a unitary state with federal nomenclature.

Finally , #EndSARS  I believe ,demands for a country where  justice, and equity thrives and meritocracy rules over mediocrity .
